HOT NEWS AT NEWT'S "REAL" SOUVENIR PLAYING CARDS

What started out at a simple idea has GONE CRAZY! When we started doing this several months ago we had to contact folks and try to explain what we were doing. Now as we produce more decks of cards for non-profit organizations we get more request to do it for other organizations.

Out biggest national press information was released in the Spring 2006 edition of Museums and More. The Pickerington Violet Township Historical Society was featured for not only their unique deck of cards, but for the wonderful fundraiser it was. You can view the article here.

PRESS RELEASE IS PART OF WHAT WE DO
One of the things we know and recognize is the importance of getting the word out about your deck of playing cards. That is why we provide a press release for EVERY organization who publishes their deck through Newt's Playing Cards. You can send it out locally, then we send it out on a national basis. This is how the Pickerington Historical Society ended up being featured in the Museums and More magazine.

TRANSFORMED CARDS?

HIDDEN PIPS MAKE HISTORY...AGAIN
One of the other things we can do is take your local art, a local photo or image and "transform" it into what we call "card art." Basically we get either playing card artist Peter Wood to hide the pips (hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades) in the image he draws for you or we get Debbie Chapman to do it. What this does is not only create a unique piece of history for your organization, but makes the art specific for BOTH your organization and playing cards. Hiding pips was very popular in playing card art during the late 1800's.
